Happy: When did you begin cosplaying and what got you interested in the hobby?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: I started cosplaying in 2011 and my younger sisters were the ones that got me into cosplaying.
Happy: What do you remember about your first day cosplaying at a convention?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: People taking me photos and asking me how i did the cosplay.
Happy: Would you consider yourself more of a seamstress or a builder?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: More of Builder. I like making PROPS.
Happy: Anyone who really inspires you?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: I found inspiration in each and every cosplayer i see. Their passion, love and dedication is the thing that keeps me motivated.
Happy: Have you ever-experienced harassment or bullying while cosplaying?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: As of today , I have never experienced harassment nor bullying.
Happy: Are there things you have learned through this hobby that you never would have guessed to have learned before you started cosplaying? If so what are these new skill traits?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: Yes. Never thought that i had talent and skills in prop making. I like making props and hoping to get better.
Happy: A lot of people get overwhelmed or ‘brunt out’ over time with this hobby called cosplaying. Have you ever felt that way, or do you feel like you ever would? What would you say to those that maybe feeling burnt out now?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: Sometimes I felt it that way. My advice is take a little time off the hobby and involve yourself in other activities but don’t quit the hobby if you love it .
Happy: What is it about cosplaying that you love?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: Meeting so many talented people and sharing ideas.
Happy: What is it about cosplaying you dislike?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: Harassment and bullying.
Happy: Why do you cosplay? Why do you keep coming back to it?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: Bring to life the characters i love. And the challenge for the next cosplay and peoples motivation is what keeps me doing it.
Happy: Have you ever hurt yourself accidentally or intentionally for cosplay?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: Minor cuts and bruises.
Happy: Over all how would you rate the cosplay community as a whole?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: Its welcoming but here where i live the community is in constant competition, sadly but true.
Happy: What are some of your favorite cosplays you have worn?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: My Arkham Knight Riddler and Grimmjow from Bleach.
Happy: Do you have a dream cosplay you would love to do someday?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: Indeed theres lots of it but i would love to cosplay KEFKA from Final Fantasy 6.
Happy: What was an amazing experience you had in cosplay that you will never forget?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: Overall the faces and kind words of the attendees at every convention.
Happy: Has cosplaying presented you with challenges? If so what sort of challenges? Were they hard to overcome? Are you still working on overcoming them?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: Indeed. Prop making and I’m overcoming them little by little.
Happy: What is your favorite convention right now to attend?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: Sadly here we have just only one big convention ; PUERTO RICO COMIC CON
Happy: What is a convention you would REALLY like to attend one day and why?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: Omg thats a difficult one. Ill mention my top 3 ; SDCC , NYCC and Dragon Con.
Happy: Does any one in your family cosplay? How about close friends? Did you get anyone to cosplay because you were doing it?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: My sisters were the ones responsible getting me into cosplaying. Lots of friends are cosplayers and i got some of them into doing it.
Happy: What are your future goals with cosplaying?
Madhouse of Fun Cosplay: Make my dream cosplay and further my skills in prop making. Inspire other cosplayers as well. And out of cosplaying full-filling my career as a pharmacy technician.
